After writing my previous post SS/17 trend: Embroider Everything I wondered how easy it would be to custom embroider my own clothing, so I decided to give it a try.

I used embroidered patches ordered online so this is not an embroidery tutorial but you may need some basic sewing skills to fix the patches to your clothing.

I order the below patches from Amazon which come in a pack of two…

1. 2 x Embroidery Patches £1.99

Here are some other really pretty alternatives…

1.Meri Meri Iron on Patches £5.75      2.Etsy Patches £5.99       3.Liberty Sticker Patch £25

Once you have purchased your chosen embroidery patches, all you need to do is select the item of clothing you would like to add it to, pin it in the desired position and check you are happy with it, then depending on the type of patches you bought, either iron or sew the patches onto the clothing.

It really is as easy as that so if you want to update some of your clothes for this season then this is a fun, affordable way to achieve that.
