If you’re looking for a way to personalise a notebook or planner then this is a fun and easy guide for doing just that.
What I love about this is you can create notebooks for different events, jobs or occasions and stylise them to suit. So you could make notebooks for your bridesmaids covered in fabric that matches your colour scheme, or a notebook for planning your holiday covered in a tropical fabric, whatever the occasion why not have a notebook to match?
Here is a step by step guide on how to create your own fabric covered notebooks…
What You Will Need:
- Hard Back Notebook
- Fabric of choice
- Sharp Scissors
- Double Sided Tape
Step 1. Lay the notebook on top of the fabric and cut to size, leaving about 1 inch for folding over each edge.
Step 2. Stick one side of the book cover to the fabric using the double sided tape, then cut the fabric at the corners of the book so that you are able to neatly fold the fabric over the edge of the book cover, (think of it like wrapping a present) before using the end page inside the book to cover the rough edges.
Step 3. Repeat step 2 on the other side so that you are then left with something that looks similar to the image below.
Step 4. Using the end of a spoon or a small knife, tuck the remaining fabric into the spine.
There you have it. Your very own, bespoke notebooks.
I hope this has been an easy tutorial to follow. Feel free to leave any feedback in the comments below.
